Experience with insurance and patient billing.
Working knowledge of Dentrix dental software and at least 6 months experience in performing front desk activities in a dental environment.
This position will be working between both our offices; Dowagiac and Lawrence Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix software.
Able to remain patient when working within deadlines, interruptions and complaints.
Able to treat all patient the same regardless of economic backgrounds and handicap.
Receive and screen clients and telephone calls to determine dental problems.
Routine filing.
Follow accounting/bookkeeping procedures.
Insurance and patient billing.
Determine client fees, accept payment and complete receipting process and record transaction.
Prepare correspondence, pamphlets, news releases, records, reports, requisitions and other communications as necessary.
Maintain office supplies and equipment.
Willingness to support other team members to accomplish daily activities.
Understand HIPAA and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality.
